Soft Skill / Relationship Based Classes
Chronic Pain & Kink
(This class can be broken up into two sections, shown below - recommended) – 1.5 hours
Living with chronic pain can be anything from a mild nuisance one must deal with every day up to something that is downright crippling. How do you make adjustments for conditions like that in not only S&M play, but regular life within a D/s dynamic? As someone living with Fibromyalgia, I'll cover things from what it is like to live with chronic pain to what it is like to live with someone who has it. There will also be information given out that can help turn a disability into something that makes a relationship stronger.
Living with Chronic Pain
(Part 1 of Chronic Pain & Kink Series) – 1 to 1.5 hours
Chronic pain makes everyday life feel unmanageable and at times downright hopeless. This class will cover how we put control back into the hands of those with chronic pain conditions. We'll cover the what's, how's, and why's of living with pain, as well as how our loved ones can be of assistance. So come on out with your questions and an open mind. Together our shared experience, strength, and hope can make a world of difference.
Getting Kinky with Chronic Pain
(Part 2 of Chronic Pain & Kink Series) –1 to 1.5 hours
After covering what it is like to live with chronic pain, we'll now cover what it is like to add kink into the mix. How do we use pain to build a stronger d/s dynamic with our partner? How do we make adjustments so play isn't interrupted by bad pain? We'll cover all this and more, including pain from both sides of the slash. As with "Living with Chronic Pain," questions and stories are welcome!
Identity Lifeboat – 1.5 hours
Feeling lost in a sea of identifiers? Maybe you just aren’t sure where you fit, or perhaps you’re wondering why we need 51 gender identities on social media, or you know for a fact that labels are bad and we just need to cast them all away! This class will cover information about a wide range of identifiers, how we use them, and why they’re important in our daily lives. We’ll also get your creative juices going a bit so you leave with more than just a theoretical understanding of how identity works.
Relationship Communication Skills –1.5 hours
Ever wonder how to get the most from your relationship? Do you watch other relationships and think to yourself “that’s what I want! How do I get that?”
Whether you're starting a new relationship, or maintaining an existing one, this class is for you! We’ll cover skills that can help when your relationship feels like its going south, as well as keep you flying high when things are great. You’ll learn effective communication skills, how to get what you need (and want), and so much more. Be sure to bring a pen and a notepad as this class is sure to cover lots of information!
From Girl to Ma’am – 1.5 hours
Ever wonder what it takes to be a “Female Dominant?” The answer is seemingly quite simple: 1. identify as “female” and 2. identify as “dominant.” Is it really that easy in practice though? As someone who started out in the lifestyle as a switch in the submissive role and gradually transitioned into a solely dominant role, I’ll share with you what that journey was like for me. We’ll discuss both the hardships associated with redefining yourself and the rewards in finding your own strength through confidence. While the class is geared towards those wishing to identify as dominant, the content we’ll cover may help any woman hoping to boost her confidence and feel more comfortable in her own skin.
Ace in the Whole - 1.5 hours
Demisexual. Grey. Biromantic. Androgynoromantic. As we explore sexuality further, we find that there is an entire vocabulary related to not just sex, but also the lack thereof; but what do they all mean? "Ace in the Whole" is all about learning the Asexual spectrum, the terms, what they mean, and how they might pertain to you or someone you know.
Bridging the Age Gap - 1.5 hours
Decades ago, before the time of the internet and swiping left or right to find a date, long before “50 Shades” took social media by storm, the world of kink and BDSM looked vastly different than the one we see today. Skills that used to take years to master in private parties are now researched and absorbed in a matter of moments thanks to today’s information sharing capabilities. When these two worlds come together though, the TNG (18-35 year olds) and the TOG (40+ year olds), they often seem to mix like oil and water. In this class we’ll discuss why this happens and how to bridge the gaps between the two generations. This class is sure to spark lots of conversation so come out with an open mind!
Let's Make It Official! –1.5 hours
Do you have a paperwork fetish? Do you feel that writing things down makes them more official? Want to work that into your relationship? This class is perfect for you! We'll talk about letters of intent and introduction, needs and wants lists, contracts, and other paperwork that you and your partner(s) can do to add that little "official" extra to your life.
Lifestyle Linguistics –1.5 hours
In a lifestyle that boasts self-discovery we as kinksters use a variety of terms, honorifics, labels, descriptors, and identifiers to find and portray ourselves. The goal of this class is to cover the what, when, why, and how of using language to identify and describe ourselves as well as those around us. We’ll also cover some of the major complications and difficulties that come along with the words we use, and how to be more cognizant of the effect they have on ourselves and others.
“No Isn’t a Safeword” – 1.5 hours
Whether you’re brand new to the lifestyle, or a public scene regular for the past 20 years, safewords have become a staple in showing consent based activity in BDSM. They give players a safe way to practice consensual non-consent, and give a method for people in public spaces to intervene in scenes that have gone sour. What else comes along with safewords though? How have they affected the way in which we play, and the mentality around them? What happens when “no” doesn’t mean “no” anymore?
Rule #1 : Self-Care for All -1.5 hours
We've all heard of "Rule #1" aka "Take Care of the Property." Commonly it is assumed that this rule applies just to those on the right side of the slash: submissives, slaves, etc.. Contrary to that idea, self-care is an important aspect for people on all sides of the slash, but how do we take care of ourselves? What do we actually NEED in life, how do we make sure those needs are met, and where do things go from there? As much as we all think we're 10ft tall and bulletproof, the universe quite often tends to disagree.
Proactive vs Reactive - 1.5 hours
Like. Comment. Share. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Our daily lives have become a matter of instant gratification that often takes us away from stopping to think about the "why" behind what we do. Someone cuts us off in traffic, we honk the horn and/or throw up the finger. Don't like the food you ordered? Send it back! How does this translate into our relationships? What about our d/s dynamics? We'll cover some of the why behind what we do, how to be less reactive in causing troublesome situations, and tips for being more proactive in preventing problems instead

“If You Want Blood (You've Got It)"
Are you a fan of blood? Need more of it in your play? Well, if you want it, you've got it!
Before we get into the play itself, we'll cover the nitty-gritty of handling blood and sharp-pointy things. This portion of the class is essential to understanding blood-borne pathogens, personal protective equipment, and disposal techniques. We'll also cover what to do when accidents happen, because you never want to hear "oops" mid-scene.
Next we will move onto the basics of needle play! From straight sticks to "pain buttons" and so much more, this section is all about turning your bottom into your own personal pin-cushion. This portion finishes off with a variety of ways to get the most blood when removing needles.
Want more blood? Good! It's time for scalpel cuttings, both quick and decorative. Whether you're looking to simply make them bleed or to turn your bottom into a bloody canvas, this section has just what you're looking for with scalpel-play. We'll also cover a couple alternative toys that leave cutting marks and make a bloody mess.
The finale of our class will be blood cupping! Make sure to brush up on your fire-cupping skills before this section as we're diving head first into applying cups to the wounds we've created for maximum blood pull.
